The GP-led same day access hub is designed for life’s slips, trips and falls, as well as those unexpected minor illnesses. We are ready to give you the care and attention you need – call us as early as possible after 8am. Open Monday to Friday and trusted by the local community, our clinic offers adults and children access to clinicians when most needed.

Which clinicians can I see for my urgent or acute medical needs?

Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) are highly trained health professionals who can undertake reviews of patients, similar to GPs for many common presentations in general practice. Advanced Clinical Practitioners can assess symptoms and build a picture of a patient’s condition, treat minor health problems, infections, minor injuries and prescribe medication where necessary.

Our Advanced Clinical Practitioners come from a number of clinical backgrounds, including urgent care, Accident and Emergency, acute medical and surgical backgrounds and general practice. They work alongside GPs who advise them on more complex cases and address any concerns. There are lots of common problems that can be seen and treated by Advanced Clinical Practitioners freeing up GP time to see more complex patients. ACPs’ scope of practice includes:

  • Abdominal and rectal symptoms:
    • Abdominal pain/ discomfort
    • Acid reflux / heartburn
    • Diarrhoea
    • Vomiting
    • Constipation
    • Bloating
    • Haemorrhoids
    • Rectal bleeding
  • Respiratory and chest symptoms:
    • Coughs
    • Chest infections
    • COPD exacerbations
    • Asthma exacerbations
    • Shortness of breath
    • Chest pains

  • Skin conditions:
    • Acne
    • Rashes
    • Lumps, bumps, and swellings

    • Ear symptoms including infections and hearing issues
